• Over the past quarter of a century, the Colombo Plan System of assistance has helped considerably to change the socio-economic face of the Asia region. In its history of 27 years, the co-operation in the form of capital and technical assistance that the developing countries have received from the developed countries has been of immense help in their development efforts. The 26^th Consultative Committee Meeting of the Colombo Plan which is meeting at Kathamandu from 29^th November to 7^th December 1977 will be an another mile-stone in enhancing the mutual co-operation and understanding among Member-countries in the noble endeavour of planning prosperity together.
