About : 

  • Traditional Post office called ‘Thaple’ (for carring government provisions) and ‘Kagaje’ (for circulating government Message) came into being during the unification period of Nepal, the formal system of Post Office started only after the establishment of an agency called “Nepal Hulak Ghar” in 1878.
  • Before the First plan, only 124 Post Offices established in the country. Today, Postal Services are being provided through 5 Regional Postal Directorate, 70 District Post Offices, 597 Area Post Offices and 3366 other Local Post Offices with a strength of more than 10,000 full time employees and 8000 part-time workers.
  • Initially, mails were carried by runners. Today, buses and aero-planes have also been engaged to transport the mails.

can i get the address of the Local Post Office for – Thali, Kageshwari Manohara, Kathmandu, Nepal – 44600.
I have sent some letter to a person residing near Thali Bus Station.
I website i can’t find required info.
