About :
- Royal Shukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve is situated at Kanchanpur district of Far Western Development Region of Nepal. This reserve was established in 1976 with a view to preserving and promoting the rare and declining swamp deer and other animals.
- Here we find abundance of flat grassland called ‘Phantas‘ which is the prime habitat of the swamp deer. Several other species of wild animals like tiger, wild elephants, leopard, bull, spotted deer, hog deer, barking deer etc are also available here.
