  • National Park and Protected areas have great impact upon the social, economic and cultural life of the people. With a view to highlight their importance, to ensure maximum participation of the local people and to focus on the interrelationship between the people and the management, an international workshop on the management of national parks and protected areas in the HindukushHimalaya region has been organised in Kathmandu from 6th to 11th May 1985 under the aegis of the King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation.
