About :
- Babu Ram Acharya was a major historian, research scholar and thinker – an acknowledged genius with extraordinary powers of memory. He lost his eyesight while conducting research and unearthening materials to reconstruct the nation’s glorious history. Yet with his inward vision Mr. Acharya remained throughout his life a perennial source of historical outflow and proved himself the pioneer and unchallenged master in his field. For his life-long dedication he was given the title of “Itihas Siromani” (Gem among historians), awarded the Tribhuwan Prize, decorated with the order of Gorkha Dakshin Bahu and made a member of the Royal Nepal Academy, honoris causa.
