- Cancer is the deadly disease which can ruin the various parts of Living Bodies to the extent of putting an end to life. Nepal Cancer Relief Society provides the treatment facilities in Nepal in best possible ways making use of modern equipments. It also provides general awareness on Cancer throughout the country. Since its establishment in 1982, Nepal Cancer Relief Society has been playing a vital role in the fight against Cancer.
- The Society has been taking active part since the time when the awareness of Cancer was limited. Today, it has branches in 40 districts of the country with the selfless and dedicated social workers who create awareness on Cancer among the general people.
- Nepal Cancer Relief Society works in the fields of prevention and treatment of Cancer. The main way of preventing Cancer is to create awareness in the general people, and to provide valuable information on the same. The Society has been organizing programs with Cancer information, tobacco free rally, documentaries on Cancer disease, folk songs, etc. to increase general awareness.
- In the field of treatment, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital has been providing quality treatment to Cancer patients. The Hospital was established by Nepal Cancer Relief Society, with the instrumental co-operation of Rotary Club, local communities of Bhaktapur and Government of Nepal. The Hospital provides Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Surgery and other facilities to the Cancer patients.
