- The Pharping Hydro-electric Power Station, situated in the south of the Kathmandu valley was inaugurated on May 22, 1911. With the installation of this Power Plant for the first time in the history of Nepal, generation and distribution of Hydro-electric Power came into practice. The cost of this station was Rs. 7,13,273.00.
