- Teongsi Sirijunga, the saint of the Kirat (Limbu) was a great religious preacher and propagator of Kirat language, religion and culture. He was born at Sinam Village in Taplejung District in 1704 V.S. He popularized “Mundhum” Scripture through the medium of Kirat language and script. He is said to have been killed by some bigoted fanatics violently against the religious faith he zealously endeavoured to propagate.
