- Budhanilkantha
- Among the gigantic reclining sculptures found in the Kathmandu Valley, the sculpture of Budhanilkantha is the oldest one and is of a great significance. Lying in the reclining posture, the present sculpture of Lord Vishnu is the best specimen of the most beautiful and attractive art works. Mention of this piece of artwork is found in the Lichchhavi inscription of 7th century A.D.
- The prominence of Budhanilkantha has spread all over Nepal and in the neighbouring country India as well. Thousands of devotees come here to pay their homage and worship this god.
- This present postage stamp depicts the sculpture of Budhanilkantha in the reclining posture in the middle of a pond.
- Pumori Himal
- Pumori Himal is situated in the Khumbu Himalayan range. The enchanting beauty of this snow-capped peak has captivated the hearts of many tourists and mountaineers. The height of this mountain is 7161 m.
