About :
- Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) was established in May 1979 at Bangkok as a regional telecommunication organisation under the auspices of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific by an inter-governmental agreement.
- Its main objective is to ensure balanced development of Telecommunications in the Asia and Pacific region and has therefore carried out activities such as experts services, fellowships for training of officials of member countries. Nepal is one of the founder members of APT and to this date it has 21 members, 2 associate members and 13 affiliate members.
