About :
- The 6812 meter high Ama Dablam mountain lying in Barun Himal attracts a lot of mountaineers every year because of its location in Khumbu, one of the most popular areas for mountaineering and trekking.
- The mountain was first climbed on 13th March 1961 by four mountaineers – two from Newzealand and one each from UK and USA. From March 1961 to December 1988 a total of 167 mountaineers of different nations have achieved the summit of Ama Dablam.
