About : 

  • Rara National Park was established in 1976 for the conservation of its beautiful landscapes, flora and fauna. The park is situated in Mugu district of Karnali Zone of Nepal and covers an area of 106 sq.km.
  • Lake Rara is the largest lake of Nepal covering an area of 10.2 sq.km. and is located at an elevation of 2990 m. The lake is famous for its unique and enchanting beauty. The maximum depth of the lake recorded is 167 metres.
