  • The following four postage stamps (Temple Series) have been released by the Postal Services Department:
  • Thakurdwara:
    • Thakurdwara Temple is situated amidst the dense forest lying in Thakurdwara Village Development Committee, Bardiya District. An image of Thakur (Lord Vishnu) is specially installed inside this temple regarded as the most famous from the religious standpoint. On the Makar Sankranti a great festival is observed. Several devotees from Nepal and neighbouring country, India congregate here and offer their worship to the Lord Thakur.
    • In the present postage stamp a picture of an artistic stone image and temple of Thakurdwara has been depicted.
