About :
- Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepalese woman to scale Mt. Everest, was born on 10th of December 1960 in Surke of Solukhumbu District Nepal.
- Mrs. Sherpa, an ambitious climber succeeded to step at the peak of Mt. Everest and changed all of her dreams into reality on the 22nd April 1993 at 2.15 P.M. and thus brightened the self respect and glory of Nepalese women. Very soon, this joy of victory turned into sorrow. The tragedy of her sad demise occurred due to missing overnight in bivouac on the southern ridge while descending.
