About : 

• The Vadtal Temple serves as the spiritual capital of the Shree Swaminarayan Sampradaya, which has spread across the world today. This temple was built on the command of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan by Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami and Sadguru Shree Aksharanand Swami. Sadguru Brahmanand Swami used nine lakh bricks in the foundation of this temple. The temple is built in a lotus shape, symbolizing the spirit of harmony among all religions. It includes depictions of past avatars of gods and goddesses. Vadtal Temple is located in Nadiad Taluka of Kheda district.
• Many great deeds were performed by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan at Vadtal:
  • The Pran Pratishtha of Shree Harikrushna Maharaj. (He said that HARI KRUSHNA MAHARAJ is none other than himself.)
  • The Shikshapatri – Shreeji Maharaj wrote the Shikshapatri during his stay in Vadtal. This scripture contains 212 shlokas.
• The capital of the Shree Swaminarayan sect, Vadtal, is a center of attraction for all and is a place where many attain salvation. In this temple, five aartis are performed daily and the idols are worshipped piously. As a result, the deities in the temple fulfill the wishes of millions of devotees.

  • VadtalDham is said to be Akshardham on Earth.
  • VadtalDham is sanctified by the holy footsteps of the manifested Lord.
  • VadtalDham is the eternal abode of Shree Harikrushna Maharaj.

  • VadtalDham is the place where Mother Mahalakshmi performed penance.
  • VadtalDham is where Dwarikadhish came and stayed forever.

  • VadtalDham is where Swaminarayan Bhagwan’s prasadi items are stored.
  • Sadguru Shri Gopalanand Swami lived here for 22 years.
• In short, Vadtal is the greatest place of pilgrimage for the Sampradaya. We are especially joyous as we approach the completion of 200 years since the establishment of the upasya Swarup Shree Harikrushna Maharaj and Shree Lakshminarayan Dev, an event performed by Bhagwan Shree Hari himself.
• To commemorate the 200^th anniversary of Vadtal Temple, a special stamp will be released to honor its pivotal role in the Shree Swaminarayan Sampradaya.
