Issued for : To mark the centenary year of Nepal Post Office a set of two special postage stamps with a common design of General Post Office building, Kathmandu is being issued on this New Year’s Day. The words ‘Nepal Post Office’ connote the then Central Postal Directorate also.

Design : Depicted on the left-hand side of the 25 paisa stamp is the name stamp of Nepal Post Office with the year 1935 V.E. in an abbreviated form. Featured on the right-hand side of the 75 paisa stamp the pre-stamp postmark is one of the earliest date stamps of Nepal so far recorded.
