Design : The central design is the Flame of Freedom, the universally adopted emblem of Human Rights. This is supplemented by the profile of the Buddha whose philosophy, propounded twenty five centuries ago, helped to propagate the human virtues of compassion, tolerance and respect for others which form the basic ingredients for the effective recognition of Human Rights throughout the world.
